Funraise recently completed a survey of 400 nonprofit organizations about their GivingTuesday strategy and were delighted with the results! As many of you already know, online giving is growing fast (growing 7.9% year over year from 2015 to 2016) and one survey shows* that GivingTuesday alone grew 20% in 2016. We want 2017 to be even better and we hope this will help your organization earn more and make the world a better place.
Based on feedback from our free GivingTuesday Toolkit, we found that fundraisers were looking for more ready-to-use content for social media -- so we added more! We used our decades of combined fundraising expertise to create messages that drive action, create excitement, and get results. Formatted for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, just grab n' go or make it your own (we really don't mind).
Although social media wasn't the best performing channel for the organizations we surveyed, it was a close second. Email was the best performing channel for donations, representing 42% of organizations' best performing tool for GivingTuesday. We LOVED to hear that nonprofits are looking to double or triple their GivingTuesday donations this year. We love fundraisers who love a challenge and we support it!
