Take a tour of the Peace & Unity Revival (OUR) Garden!
Founded by veteran and longtime community volunteer Damon Smith, the OUR Garden Project is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: our shared agricultural heritage can help us build understanding, connection, and belonging. Through plants, seeds, and growing traditions from around the world, the garden invites visitors to reflect on what unites us across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences.
Today, the garden features more than 800 species of plants and recognizes over 180 countries through their agricultural and cultural contributions, creating a living collection that highlights humanity's shared connection to the land.
During the tour, Damon will share the story behind the OUR Garden movement, the inspiration for the project, and how gardening has become a pathway for community building and personal healing.
Those who choose to volunteer will have the opportunity to work alongside Damon, helping care for the garden while exploring the rich history, cultural traditions, and agricultural heritage represented within it.
Whether you're an experienced gardener, curious about sustainable agriculture, or simply looking for a meaningful way to connect with your neighbors, all are welcome.
