Workshop Overview:
This beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to the art of hand-building pottery. Using simple tools and techniques, students will learn how to shape, texture, and create unique ceramic pieces without a wheel. Expect a relaxed, supportive environment where creativity and experimentation are encouraged.
By the end of this workshop, participants will:
Understand basic hand-building techniques: coil, slab, feet & handles.
Learn how to use basic pottery tools and household items to create unique pieces of functional pottery.
Create 2 finished pieces (e.g., mug, bowl, small tray).
Gain insight into surface decoration
Materials Provided:
5 pds of Clay (stoneware)- white clay
Basic hand tools (rib, needle tool, sponge, rollers, placemats etc.)
Bisque Firing and Glaze Firing ( your Glazed Pottery – ready to use will be returned back to REEDS for pick up within 3 after workshop.
What to Bring:
Clothes you don’t mind getting messy

Cost of workshop: $45 + $15 materials fee (material fee includes clay, bisque and glaze firing and all class supplies)
