My name is Michael St. Denis and my family and I are reaching out because we are hosting a fundraiser to raise money for an aviation scholarship in memory of my son, Andrew. Andrew Francis St. Denis, 26, died suddenly and unexpectedly along with his 5 year old dog, Chance, on September 11, 2021 in a motor vehicle accident.
Andrew was born in Hudson, MA on March 14, 1995, the son of Adele Kane Hill of Stow, MA and Michael St. Denis of West Boylston, MA. Andrew was the second oldest of four sons and spent his childhood and formative years in both Hudson and on Lake Boon in Stow.
Andrew had a passion for aviation and first soloed at the age of 17 in a Cessna 152. Studying at the FCA Flight Center in Fitchburg, MA, Andrew received his Private Pilot’s License, Single/Multi Engine, Commercial, Instrument, and Certified Flight Instructor/Instrument Instructor Ratings. His first flying job was as a Flight Instructor at FCA Flight Center. He then flew as First Officer for PlaneSense of Portsmouth, NH, for two years in a Pilatus PC12 on both domestic and international routes. At the time of his passing, he was training for his Airline Transport Pilot license with Republic Airways, a Delta Connection, to fly an 80-passenger twin engine jet the Embraer 170/175. We could not think of a better way to honor Andrew’s life than by raising money to help another young pilot in the making and pass along his passion for aviation.
For that reason, we are holding the Andrew St. Denis Memorial Fundraiser on September 10th at Ski Ward in Shrewsbury, MA.
