End Trafficking Before It begins!
Right now, girls in Cambodia are facing a new and rapidly growing threat. Online Child Sexual Exploitation is estimated to directly impact 11% of Cambodian children,160,000 lives that are traumatised and damaged each year - and this number is growing. It is destroying young lives.
AusCam protects those at highest risk by creating safe spaces for them to report their crisis. Traditionally we worked in schools and local communities, but the landscape is changing and right now we need to protect girls when online. We have a renewed and larger focus.
AusCam operates the only 24 hour hotline in Cambodia that is specifically for adolescent girls in crisis. Almost all requests for help we receive are girls that have been groomed and abused through various online platforms.
In the last few weeks, agreed funding to AusCam has been withdrawn as a result of current economic challenges. Failing to bridge this now is a serious consequence for young girls in Cambodia.
We need your help to continue the work to protect thousands of young female victims of sexual exploitation.
