In 1999 Boeing Chairman and CEO Phil Condit devised a summer fundraiser trip to bring friends together in a Scout-type setting to have fun, network, and raise money to bring Scouting to under-resourced youth across Chief Seattle Council. It is called The Condit Campout.
“To date we’ve raised about $1.9 million, all aimed at inner-city Scouting,” Condit says. “Our goal is to get kids who wouldn’t ordinarily have a chance to be part of Scouting involved.”
All past Condit Campout participants, business and community leaders, and Scouting supporters are invited to Suncadia September 10 -12, 2024 for axe throwing, horseback riding, patrol competitions, horseshoe tournaments, fishing, hiking, and more, all to benefit Scouts in our community.
