Celebrating the People Who Shape Pediatric Rheumatology

Pediatric rheumatology thrives because of the people who choose to lift others up: those who teach, those who care, those who listen, and those who walk beside patients and families through every step of their journey. For 50 years, this field has been built on mentorship, compassion, and the quiet, steady work of individuals who make healing possible.

To honor this legacy, CARRA invites everyone in our community to celebrate the people who made a difference in their pediatric rheumatology journey. Whether you are a clinician honoring a mentor or a patient or caregiver recognizing someone on your care team, your tribute helps tell the story of a field shaped by humanity and hope.

How to Participate
Step 1: Click Honor a Rheumatology Champion and make a gift **to support the future of pediatric rheumatology through CARRA. Step 2: **Share the name of your mentor and tell us how they inspired or shaped your journey. **Step 3: CARRA will share your tribute and donation** with your honoree (or their family) via personal email, at CARRA’s 2026 meetings, and in the Mentors Who Made Us: 50 Years of Pediatric Rheumatology promotions.

Tributes may be made posthumously, and honorees do not need to be pediatric rheumatologists, only someone who made a meaningful impact on your path.
