Mike Mancini HERO Fund

We want to recognize Mike Mancini and his powerful commitment to the Fight Colorectal Cancer (Fight CRC) community of survivors and carepartners.

We want his LEGACY to continue to inspire other HEROS by providing recipients access to attend events that were invaluable to Mike and his personal mission in advocacy. The three events that are close to Mike started with Call On Congress where he found his voice in advocacy. While there, he met Carole and was also able to meet with people like him under the age of 50 who were not just living but thriving in life. This gave Mike hope to keep fighting and advocating for colorectal cancer, in particular people under age 50. Call-on Congress led him to become a participant in Climb for a Cure where he was able to connect with other survivors in the community while also involving another personal part of his life: fitness. Lastly, The CologuardⓇ Classic. Mike learned to play golf at a young age and was captain of his high school golf team. He was able to represent Fight CRC and connect to many other people within the colorectal cancer community. Call-on Congress, Climb for a Cure, and The Cologuard Classic are three events where Mike grew in his commitment to raise awareness, engage in community, and just plain and simply promote his personal selfless mission to be HEROIC and BRAVE by standing up, inspiring, and challenging the community to do more and be TOGETHER in the fight against colorectal cancer!

Our goal in establishing this fund is so that individual donors can see their money in action through sponsoring survivors/carepartners to be able to attend these three events and give them the ability to engage in the community of relentless champions just like Mike was able to do. We want them to be able to witness and share Mike's mission and the idea that no one ever fights alone and all patients are united in action. Establishing this designated fund will provide that access for years to come.

Mike and I are simply filled with gratitude that we can establish this fund to promote the HERO in all of us and ensure future HEROS can attend events to encourage their personal journey and growth, while combating and navigating the diagnosis they are challenged with.
