You are cordially invited to perform with the Gordon College Symphony Orchestra and College Choir in their performance of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, April 9 at 7:00 p.m. We are excited to welcome alumni performers to join our current students on stage for one of the Department of Music’s most anticipated performances this spring.
The concert will feature acclaimed soprano Kristen Watson and incorporate artworks by Greg Deddo, Matt Doll, and Emmy Kangas (’20). Special guests from across Gordon’s campus community will deliver spoken portions of the oratorio’s libretto throughout this multimedia concert event. The concert will be live-streamed and recorded.
Please see below for the participant schedule:
Digital and printed copies of the annotated choral score and all practice resources will be made available to you in advance of your arrival to campus.
Gordon College continues to monitor COVID-19 protocols. At this time, all vocalists will be required to wear masks at all times and provide a negative Rapid Antigen Test before their arrival Thursday evening.
Please let us know if you would like to participate by clicking the RSVP button to the right, and filling out the form. We look forward to welcoming you back to campus in April!
