Hi, we are team Roof-Raising Riveters, a group of 5 women, including Kasie, Brittany, Jess, Violet & Helena. We have come together through our community and share a common passion for social justice and human rights.
Our team chose to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Indiana because actions speak louder than words. We believe in Habitat's mission, and we're proud to support an organization that helps families achieve safe, stable, and affordable housing.
To our team, home means financial security and safety. Housing represents independence, and we know how important it is for individuals and families to have a place where they can thrive.
When it comes to home building, our team would describe our experience as first timers and some timers. If we had to describe our construction skill level in one sentence, it would be: "We are willing, ready, and able."
Through this Women Build experience, we hope to help someone find their way home. We were excited to learn and further our skills, work alongside like-minded and passionate people, and leave this experience feeling more hopeful.
