Calling all flyboys and GI Janes... Report for duty on the evening of April 1st, 2023

The Greatest Generation threw the greatest parties! So get ready to dust off those uniforms… we’re headed back to the 40s with a Night at the USO.

Health For All is excited to announce the return of Dancing for the Health of It! A Night at the USO

USO shows brought a taste of home to weary troops overseas and entertainment to tired citizens on the Homefront. Health For All is reimagining the USO dance scene on the Brazos Valley Homefront for a night of dancing and comradery in the name of fun and philanthropy.

Dancing for the Health of It will bring together “celebrity” dancers from our community to compete for bragging rights and raise funds for our clinic. We hope to have over 500 people join us at the Hilton College Station for this exciting dinner and dance competition.

Health For All is a nonprofit free health care clinic that was founded in 1987. Virtually all of the clinic’s funding comes from local donors who live and/or do business in the Brazos Valley, and no state or federal funding is received. We provide free doctor visits, pharmaceuticals, specialist exams, lab tests, X-rays, chronic disease management education and counseling services to low income patients in the Brazos Valley who do not have health insurance and do not qualify for government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare or County Indigent funds.

Health for All provides over 5,000 patient visits each year. We are able to deliver services at a very low cost thanks to a small staff and a large number of volunteers and community partners. By providing an alternative to expensive emergency room visits by the uninsured, Health For All saves Brazos Valley hospitals and taxpayers millions of dollars each year.

Your support can change lives for people like Megan.

Megan couldn’t breathe, inhaling hurt and she felt like she was drowning. She had asthma. Megan was too young to understand what hospital bills were, but her mom understood. How could they pay for her inhalers, nebulizers and all sorts of medicines needed to stay healthy? Luckily, she was covered by Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) until she was 18. Megan is now 19 years old and no longer eligible for CHIPS. She is taking pre-med classes so that she can become a pediatrician one day. She also works part-time. There’s no way she can afford private health insurance. Megan is always afraid of getting sick because if she goes to the doctor, she’ll have to pay out-of-pocket. Her mom’s been skipping doctor’s visits for years. It’s a sacrifice she makes to provide for her family. Megan says she never realized how important healthcare was until he got sick a few weeks ago. She didn’t tell her mom because she would have insisted on taking her to the doctor. She knew they couldn’t afford the care, so she sucked it up. Then they found Health For All…
