JOIN US ON MISSION AS WE POUR INTO THESE FRONT LINE LEADERS!

We are Chris and Carrie Herrington. We have been married 21 years, and have three teenage children, Colin, Charis and Cuyler. We’ve been serving together in churches through worship and creative arts since we met at Manhattan Christian College in 1996. Chris is the worship pastor at Illuminate Community Church in Scottsdale. Carrie is a full time stay at home mom who homeschools our kids. We started serving in Likewise as mentors together over five years ago and have served as the Area Director’s of Likewise Phoenix since November 2020.

Our ministry mission is to develop healthy and humble worship pastors/leaders in Phoenix. We do this by promoting a biblical heart of worship in the local church.

Why is this important?
Worship pastors deal with specific challenges That makes us a target of the enemy. Depression, anxiety, fear, Covid are all pressing concerns in the lives of these vital leaders. Our purpose is to come alongside and encourage, exhort, equip them with Christ centered leadership and support.

How do we live out the mission and vision of Likewise? We host gatherings in multiple cities each month designed to equip and empower local worship leaders with the practical tools and encouragement they need to lead effectively in their communities.

One-on-One mentoring is made available to each worship leader as we seek to not only experience growth in our leadership, but also maturity in our walk with Jesus. Having accountability and a safe place to process certain struggles is vital to the health of these worship leaders’ ministries and marriages.

Annual retreats are offered to Collective worship leaders! Our annual Likewise Worship Leader Retreat is a 3-day getaway tailored to the worship leader’s need for restoration, renewal, and encouragement.

Would you consider being a monthly partner with us? Your generosity will help us accomplish all of our practical goals as we partner with worship pastors, leaders and their spouses.
