Hello everyone!
Becoming a Bar Mitzvah is the moment where I take my place as an adult in the Jewish community. And with it, I inherit the responsibility to think and act like I am no longer a kid. As I prepared to take on this new chapter in my life, I wanted my Bar Mitzvah project to reflect values that are so important to me - kindness, compassion, and helping others. These are values that my mom embodied so naturally, and they shape the way that I try to live each day.
I chose to dedicate my chesed project to the Met Council because of the incredible work they do for people all throughout New York City. They provide food and supplies, emergency assistance, housing support, and dignity to individuals and families who are struggling. Their mission inspires me, and enables me to contribute to something that makes a real, direct impact in people’s lives across our city
Instead of gifts, I respectfully ask that you please consider making a donation to the Met Council in honor of my Bar Mitzvah. Your support will help ensure that more struggling members of our community have access to the essentials they need and the basic care they deserve.
Thank you for being part of this milestone and for helping make this moment not only meaningful in my life, but also so meaningful for others in need as well.
