Restoring Lives to a NEW normal through Love and Compassion

You can impact the lives of women and children in our community who are survivors of abuse.

Rhema Word Foundation is asking for your help! We are in the beginning stages of developing a crisis center for women and children. This will be a safe haven and temporary housing for women and a refuge to protect and restore children to a NEW life of normalcy while rebuilding their trust in humanity. The crisis center will provide a success chest, which supplies clothing for job interviews, room, and board for battered women, mentorship for children, after-school tutoring, nourishment, financial literacy sessions, cooking classes, life group exercises, self-defense, individual and group counseling, as well as a tranquility garden to plant vegetables and flowers, read a book, meditate, or just a quiet place to think.

Nevertheless, we cannot do any of this without your generosity and desire to help. Can you remember a time when you needed help? I can. When we lost our 2-year-old little girl, Ramie to child abuse, I needed a crisis center like the one we are developing to help reshape my life. Sadly, I could not find a place to heal. I was so heartbroken and stricken with grief for 11 years, living anywhere I could lay my head. Trust me, homelessness and financial lack were starting to consume my very existence. I felt like my only reason for living was taken from me. When I tell you I was sinking fast, would be an understatement. Thankfully, with the love of a good support system, I eventually regain control of my life. Often time women stay in abusive situations because they do not want to experience such poverty. The Rhema's Refuge Crisis Center will offer a new life and a new home filled with empathy and understanding,

Our ultimate goal is to transform women and children from victims to survivors by Renewing, Rebuilding, and Restoring their thought processes.
