We recognize that plans may change and that others may still want tickets, so we have created a Ticket Exchange where you can list if you want or have extra tickets. This is a self-serve process, so please reach out to each other directly to coordinate an exchange. More detailed instructions are in the spreadsheet.

We're thrilled to invite you to our Ninth Annual East Bay Family Garba on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 3:30-6:30 PM in Oakland! Navratri is the nine (nav) night (ratri) celebration of goddesses Durga and Devi. The resounding celebration of the strong, powerful, female spirit & life. Tickets just went live and must be purchased in advance. We strongly encourage folks to purchase tickets early. We have SOLD OUT in advance every year!

Background
A few East Bay families, with young-and-growing children, offer this kid- and family-friendly space, right here in the East Bay and in a sizable venue (more space/less trampling!) to celebrate this important Hindu festival with the at-once graceful and rambunctious dance form, Garba. Garba is unique to the Indian state of Gujarat and is a traditional Indian folk dance that all can learn and enjoy. It is a 100%-volunteer effort, and all proceeds go to community organizations that serve South Asian communities.

General Admission (3+ years) -- $25
Babies/Toddlers 2 and under -- FREE (but still need a ticket)

• Hint of Desi Food Truck will be on site with a custom, all-vegetarian menu TBD, and chai
• LIVE Singers and Music
• We are not allowed to sell tickets at the door. Presale tickets only.
• We donate 100% of proceeds (after expenses) to South Asian community organizations
• To keep this garba kid-friendly, it is much smaller than traditional, establishment garbas. This means fewer total tickets. Please buy early
