Ten years ago, we started with a simple, radical idea: to fight for gender equity in the arts by creating a space for women, trans, and non-binary storytellers to be seen and heard.

A decade later, we haven’t just created a space—we’ve built a nationwide movement.

This year, the fight came to our door.

While it came with our ten-year anniversary, 2025 has been a year of unprecedented challenges for our organization. 

We were kicked out of our home theater of 8 years when our landlord tried to force us to stop doing shows about abortion rights and reproductive freedom. 

Then, we lost our federal funding due to new, anti-DEI government guidelines designed to defund organizations like ours that fight for equality. 

WE WON’T LET THIS STOP US – BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We know that what Americans see in the entertainment they consume – TV shows, movies, theater – impacts the way they see and interact with the world around them. We can do our part to build a more equitable future by bringing typically-marginalized stories, about issues that are important to our communities, to the mainstream.
