We’re excited to announce the 5th Annual Bike Giveaway presented by Giant Bicycles and Liv Bicycles. Each year, we select children through our Adopt-A-School program and gift them brand-new bikes.

This year, we're looking for more people to help us make smiles brighter. We'd like you to help us by volunteering and being a part of a day filled with joy and excitement as we give the next generation of kids our gift of a bicycle.

SATURDAY DECEMBER 17TH 2022 - Location: VELO Sports Center - Dignity Health Sports Park.

VOLUNTEER TYPE

Motion Equals Healthy Event Setup - The Event Setup is from 7 am - 10 am. This includes but is not limited to unloading the bikes and setting up the tents, tables, and chairs. 

Motion Equals Healthy Event Breakdown - The Event Breakdown is from 1 pm - 4 pm. This includes but is not limited to packing up tables, chairs, and tents, and loading the truck.

Bicycle Clinic Volunteer (90-minute shift)
We are seeking about 40 volunteers to work in 90-minute shifts in our Bike Clinic during the Bike Giveaway. 

**Bike Clinic General **– Help greet riders and introduce them to training activities. Assist in resetting course items like cones and help kids make it through safely (no cycling experience necessary)

**Bike Clinic Riding Guide **– Guide groups of 8-12 riders through our full bike safety and skills course. Demonstrate basic skills like starting, stopping, navigating obstacles, and cornering as you progress through the course. Bring your own bike and join the fun!

Time slots:
Morning – 8:50 am - 10:20 am
Mid-Morning – 10:10 am - 11:40 am
Noon – 11:30 am - 1 pm
