Educate girls. Empower Women. Strengthen Community

banner

Your gift protects childhood, restores dignity, and opens the door to education for girls and families facing extreme poverty.

Children and women served by Karat School Project (KSP) in Côte d’Ivoire are overcoming severe barriers to education including poverty, trauma, child labor, and early marriage. Your donation provides safety, learning, healing, and opportunity through a holistic, community-rooted approach.

What Your Gift Makes Possible:

🎓** Students at Karat School Project**
KSP serves children who would otherwise be excluded from school—many are survivors of trauma, former child laborers on cacao farms, child brides, or children forced to sell goods in busy streets and markets instead of learning.

Your support provides:

  • Safe, full-time access to education
  • School meals and learning materials
  • Trauma-informed care and love
  • Protection from child labor and early marriage

👩🏾‍🌾 Women’s Wrap-Around Empowerment Program
Education for children is strongest when mothers are empowered. KSP’s wrap-around women’s program equips mothers and caregivers with tools to support their families sustainably.
Your donation supports:

  • Adult literacy (alphabetisation)
  • Financial literacy and savings skills
  • Entrepreneurship and income-generating activities
  • Skill training for community empowerment
  • Health education & free cancer screening

🩸 Girls’ Health, Rights & Dignity Program
Girls’ education is deeply affected by period poverty and lack of reproductive health knowledge. KSP ensures girls have the resources, information, and confidence to stay in school.
Your gift helps provide:

  • Menstrual hygiene supplies
  • Education on health and reproductive rights
  • Girls’ empowerment and body autonomy training
  • Safe spaces for learning and dialogue
