"This program not only saved my life, but showed me what was possible in life." —Johnny S., Veterans Treatment Court participant
For too many military veterans in Central Maryland, civilian life can bring challenges that rival those they dealt with during their service. Their battles can include finding and keeping a job and a home, as well as mental health or substance use issues, or substance use—which can lead to minor law offenses.
The Veterans Treatment Court, supported by United Way, salutes their service and supports them as they overcome barriers to success in civilian life.
