You can impact the lives of Animals in our Sanctuary.

Since 1982 Lakeview Animal Sanctuary INC. has been a safe haven for unwanted, elderly, neglected, abandoned or abused animals.
 Being a sanctuary is our gift to the animals who need us. 
We do everything we can to allow them to have happiness while having a secure home on the farm. 
Our guiding principles are to rescue, save and love. 
 Our goal is to rescue and rehabilitate animals and to educate and inspire the public about their care and welfare. 
We have saved animals from neglect, being abused, being abandoned, being discarded and from slaughter. 
When we take in an animal it is first placed under observation to evaluate the immediate needs as well as to create an individualized long-term care plan for that specific animal. 
Their physical and psychological rehabilitation begins immediately. 
Some animals that we shelter are passed from owner to owner never having had a forever home. 
It’s important for all animals to have a consistent routine as well as a safe place called home. 
We provide a lifelong sanctuary for most of our animals. 
 Whether they stay with us permanently or are adopted we provide veterinary care, proper feeding, environmental enrichment and plenty of love-at the same time giving people who might not have had contact with animals a hands on experience. 
We offer learning experiences for children and teens, helping them to connect and build emotional and mental well-being through the human/animal bond. 
Unlike traditional shelters that emphasize adoption, the primary purpose of Lakeview Animal Sanctuary INC. is to provide lifetime care and sheltering of animals who while still able to lead a quality life are unable to find permanent homes due to old age, chronic illness, handicaps, temperament issues or other factors. 
 Adoption of some of our rehabilitated animals is possible. If you are interested in providing a forever home to one of our sanctuary animals please contact us. 
 We are dependent on donations of time, money and resources from people within the community. 
We have no local, state, or federal government funding. 
Lakeview Animal Sanctuary INC. hopes to change the public's attitude toward the discarding of animals who are otherwise capable of living a quality life, and to show the importance of humanely caring for all animals, including those who have been abused, neglected, or have special mental/physical/emotional needs.  

Lakeview Animal Sanctuary INC is a NYS registered nonprofit charity with a 501(c)3 status All donations are used to ensure exceptional quality care now and into the future.
